Clan Grant avoided the Highland Clearances thanks to “The Good Sir James,” who founded Grantown-on-Spey to provide for his people. The clan also contributed troops to British Army regiments like the Grant Fencibles and Strathspey Regiment in the late 18th century.
In modern times, Clan Grant continues to thrive, with heritage sites like the Duthil Churchyard and international recognition of descendants, such as Cuthbert Grant in Canada.
