Clan Inglis is an armigerous Scottish clan tracing back to 1153 during King David I’s reign. The surname "Inglis" means "Englishman" and first appeared in 12th-century charters. Notable early members like John, Walter, and Philip de Inglis held lands during Edward I’s 1296 invasion of Scotland.

Closely allied with Clan Douglas, the Inglises were honored with burial rights at St. Bride’s Church and added the Douglas stars to their coat of arms. Sir William Inglis earned the Barony of Manner in 1396 after defeating an English knight in single combat.

The Inglis of Cramond line rose in Edinburgh, with Sir James Inglis becoming a baronet in 1687. Cramond House hosted Queen Victoria in 1861. Though the baronetcy became dormant in 1817, it was revived in 2018 by Sir William St Clair Inglis, the 13th Baronet.

The Clan Inglis Ancient Scottish Tartan Kilt showcases a timeless pattern rooted in the heritage of this historic Lowland and Highland family. Woven with earthy shades of faded green, soft brown, and weathered red, the ancient tartan reflects the natural dyes once used by early Scots. This kilt honors the Inglis clan’s legacy dating back to 1153 and their valor alongside Clan Douglas.

Crafted from high-quality acrylic wool, the kilt features deep knife pleats, adjustable leather straps, and chrome buckles, offering both tradition and comfort. Whether for Highland ceremonies, reenactments, or Scottish cultural events, this kilt connects wearers with their ancestral pride.
